1. Our Commitment To Privacy
Your privacy is very important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used.
2. The Information We Collect
This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the Drum Class [virtualdrumschool.com] website.
First of all, the mandatory personal information collected on the Drum Class website has purposely been kept to an absolute minimum. On the Sign Up page for the Free Trial (registration) we collect:
This is the extent of the mandatory information.
On the Edit Profile page, the types of personal information the can optionally be collected are:
On the Change Avatar page you are able to upload an Avatar (a picture used for your account). You do not need to upload an Avatar. In this case the default Avatar will be used. If you choose to upload an Avatar the picture does not need to be of you – i.e. it could be a picture of a cat (not even your cat) if you like.
On the Make a Payment page, there are buttons that allow you to pay for the Monthly Membership and/or a Video Critique. All payment transactions are handled by a trusted and secure 3rd part (PayPal). We do not accept or maintain ANY of your payment information on this site.
Through a Support Request, you can provide a Display Name that is different from your User Name.
3. The Way We Use Information
We use the information you provide about yourself when creating your Drum Class account. We do not share this information with outside parties. In some cases we may need to ship something to your physical address, and in this case only, information must be shared with a 3rd party to the extent necessary to ship the item.
We use the email address(es) you provide to send you information about Drum Class and to receive payment information from PayPal (i.e. indication that a payment was made by you via a matched email address). We do not share your email address with outside parties.
NOTE: Email Address must be valid or you will not receive your confirmation email and you will not be able to activate your account. The email address must also match the email address used on your PayPal account (see Alternate Email address).
We use the Alternate Email Address in the event that you do have a PayPal account, but the email address used for this account does not match the email address used when registering for Drum Class. This permits you to have 2 email address on Drum Class. One used as your “primary” Drum Class email and another used to match up with PayPal.
We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.
We use the User Name you provided on various pages on the site. For example, if you post a question in the Forums, your username will be listed next to your question.
NOTE: Your User Name does not need to identify you in any way if you don’t want it to. For example, it can be “user599”. This is completely your choice. However, the User Name you choose upon registration cannot be changed – this is made clear when you submit your registration for the Free Trial.
We use the Display Name you optionally provide as a nicer way of displaying who you are on various pages on the site. For example, if your username is “user599”, you may add a more descriptive Display Name so other Drum Class Members have a better idea of who you are.
4. Our Commitment To Data Security
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, and electronic procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. In addition to our own procedures, we use a 3rd party to perform verifications of Drum Class [virtualdrumschool.com] on a regular basis.
5. How You Can Access Or Correct Your Information
You can access all of your personally identifiable information that we collect online and maintain by logging into your Drum Class account and visiting the Edit Profile page.
